Welcome to project KINDLE!

Project Kindle, formerly known as Camp Kindle, has been providing cost free services to children, adolescents, and families since 1999. A 501(c) 3 nonprofit, which primarily serves those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, began as a weeklong summer camp known as Camp Kindle. Over the last few years, the organization has expanded its services to offer multiple camping sessions and year round support, a peer led speakers bureau, a continued education scholarship fund, and HIV/AIDS education and outreach.

Today Project Kindle touches the lives of over 15,000 children, young adults and families each year. These services currently reach young people all across the country and internationally as well.

Northwestern University Dance Marathon Raises $585,566 for Project Kindle!

Project Kindle is honored to have had the experience of being the Northwestern University Dance Marathon primary beneficiary for 2009. Our organization has grown because of this relationship. We recognize the continued need for more prevalent year-round support for our campers and their families. We also have a better understanding of what we want our HIV educational website to look like through our participation with the ambassador site they created (www.nudm.org/projectkindle). This relationship has meant so much to us. The funds raised will allow our organization to enter a new phase of service. Beyond the money, we are so grateful for the experience they have allowed our campers and families to participate in. I know many of them are dreaming of becoming Northwestern students one day! Thank you for everything!! Click here to read a news article about the event.
