PAC hosts Dance Marathon at UCLA to benefit PK
Project Kindle is so very thankful for the ongoing support of Dance Marathon at UCLA! This years event was a huge success and raised over $50,000 for Project Kindle, specifically the Camp Kindle West summer session. We look forward to building an even greater event next year!
Camp Kindle
Camp Kindle 2010 is well underway. All staff positions have been filled! We have the most amazing returning and new staff this summer. Camp camper registration is on-going and we expect to serve 100 campers at each of our sessions (CA and NE).
SPEAK OUT
The SPEAK OUT calendar year falls in line with the school year and what a year it has been. Through a grant provided by the state of Colorado, we successfully completed four weeklong tours in and around Denver this 2009-2010 school year. With funds from Northwestern University Dance Marathon we completed two weeklong tours in Chicago and thanks to the Diamond Foundation we were able to complete a tour around World AIDS Day in Nebraska and Iowa. SPEAK OUT also reached schools in Southern California and Washington, DC. We are beginning the final stages of collecting and analyzing the SPEAK OUT data from the CO tours and look forward to publishing the results online.

Northwestern University Dance Marathon Raises $576,470 for Project Kindle!

Project Kindle is honored to have had the experience of being the Northwestern University Dance Marathon primary beneficiary for 2009. Our organization has grown because of this relationship. We recognize the continued need for more prevalent year-round support for our campers and their families. We also have a better understanding of what we want our HIV educational website to look like through our participation with the ambassador site they created (www.nudm.org/projectkindle). This relationship has meant so much to us. The funds raised will allow our organization to enter a new phase of service. Beyond the money, we are so grateful for the experience they have allowed our campers and families to participate in. I know many of them are dreaming of becoming Northwestern students one day! Thank you for everything!! Click here to read a news article about the event.
